How much do your translations cost?

We always try to price our translations as competitively as possible, and we also try to take the client's budget into consideration. The easiest way to find out how much your specific translation will cost is to complete our online form, and apply for a free, no obligation quotation. Ultimately, the cost of the translation will depend on a variety of factors such as (1) how quickly the translation needs to be completed, (2) the complexity of the subject matter, (3) the size, or number of words in the translation, and (4) whether or not the translation needs to be stamped by an official court interpreter and/or sent by registered post. Usually, we calculate our prices on a "price per word" basis, so that you only need to pay for the exact number of words (or characters) to be translated. However, we do have a minimum charge of £10 (or the equivalent in your chosen currency) for translations of 200 words or less.

How do I pay you?

Our preferred method of payment is by online bank transfer to our UK account. We can provide you with our details, and in most cases we only require payment once your translation is delivered to your satisfaction. If you live in the UK, but you don't do your banking online, you can post a cheque to our UK address. If you live outside the UK, we accept payment by PayPal, for which you will obviously need a PayPal account. We will usually make a 4% surcharge for PayPal payments to cover the fees that we are charged for using this service.

How do I send the translation text to you?

If you have access to a scanner, you can scan your document and email it to us as an attachment. This is the easiest and most common way for us to receive files for translation. If you don't have a scanner, but have access to a fax machine, you can fax your document to the number provided. The only other option is to send your document via post to our UK address, although this will obviously take slightly longer.

How quickly can you deliver the translation?

Once we receive your translation, and we have your approval to proceed, it really is only a matter of (1) how large the translation is, (2) how complicated the subject matter is, and (3) how quickly you need it returned to you by. We have capacity to handle projects of considerable size with a quick turnaround, so (within reason) it really is down to you.

My material is sensitive, will it be treated confidentially?

You have our complete assurance that all material translated by us, regardless of its subject matter, is handled in the strictest confidence. Nobody is contacted regarding any translation but the client themselves.

Do you provide official stamped translations?

Yes we do. Although we are not court-registered interpreters ourselves, we have qualified associates who check our translations for us, and provide their official stamp to confirm their accuracy. Usually, stamped translations are only required for official procedures, such as a passport application or an application for a Croatian Residency Permit. We can help you with any such applications, and arrange for any document to be translated, stamped, and sent by registered post to an address of your choice.

How do I know that my translation will be accurate?

You have every assurance of the accuracy of the translation, because you are dealing with native-speaking translators who are translating into their own language. We check and proofread all translations for spelling, grammar, fluency and overall readability. For Bosnian and Serbian translations (because we are Croatian and English respectively) we get a native-speaking colleague to do this for us, just to be sure.

What if I'm not satisfied?

Obviously translation is not a precise science, and no two translations by different translators (translating the same text) will be the same. If you have any reason for concern regarding the quality of our translation, you are welcome to contact us and we will make every effort to explain any apparent mistake, or remedy the translation if needed. We will even hire an independent translator to check our translation (if necessary) at no extra charge.
